Prof. Patrick Bontems

Head of the Medical Pediatric Digestive Diseases Department at the Hôpital Universitaire des Enfants Reine Fabiola in Belgium since 2013, a consultant in Pediatric Gastroenterology at both the Hôpital Erasme and CHU Tivoli, and also a Professor at Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium.

He's an expert in pediatric gastroenterology, particularly in Helicobacter pylori infections, inflammatory bowel diseases, and the role of the microbiota in pediatric health. He has also contributed extensively to the scientific community with numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the field of pediatric gastroenterology. He has been actively involved in various clinical trials and has received multiple grants for his groundbreaking research.
