Dr Pedro Costa Moreira

Dr. Moreira is an experienced gastroenterologist currently serving as an Assistant Hospitalar at Hospital Pedro Hispano and collaborating with the Trofa Saúde Group, focusing on gastroenterology consultations and digestive endoscopy techniques. His professional journey also includes a tenure at Centro Hospitalar do Tâmega e Sousa.

He earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Porto in 2014 and completed his specialized training in gastroenterology at Centro Hospitalar e Universitário São João. In 2021, he obtained his specialist degree in gastroenterology and further refined his expertise in endoscopic techniques at the Institut Paoli Calmettes in France.

Dr. Moreira has authored 27 articles in national and international medical journals, serving as the first author on 16 of them. His scientific work extends to participating as a sub-investigator in 13 randomized clinical trials and leading a clinical trial in endoscopic ultrasound. He has presented 91 scientific papers at conferences, earning 16 awards and grants, and has played a crucial role as the Scientific Coordinator of gastroenterology training courses for general practitioners.
